The Second World War was a world wide battle between the allies and the axis powers. The allied powers were Britain, America, and Russia. The axis powers consisted of Japan, Italy and Germany. For a while, Russia was working with Hitler. Stalin and Hitler made a pact called the Non-Aggression Pact. This pact meant that Germany would not attack Russia. Hitler broke this pact and used blitzkrieg against Russia. Meanwhile, Japan was taking over China using weapons and fear against them. Hitler decided to pull a surprise attack on Poland, called Blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg is a surprise attack using airplanes, tanks, and soldiers all at once. Every country that Hitler used blitzkrieg on worked. Towards the end of WWII, Japan attacked America at Pearl Harbor. Thousands of people-soldiers, marines, civilians- died.
